More Details

Low-Peak KRP-C-SP fuses are the standard time-delay choice for Class L service entrance and main switchboard positions. The time-delay element holds through transformer energization and large motor starts, while the current-limiting design still restricts let-through energy when a fault occurs. Many engineers specify Low-Peak throughout a building because Bussmann publishes a simple 2:1 ampere ratio for selectivity between Low-Peak fuses, which makes coordination between the main and feeders easier to document. The 2500-amp rating sits in bolted pressure switches or fused switchboard mains on large 480V services. A spare on the shelf matters at this size: a blown main fuse takes the whole service down, and distributor lead times on large Class L fuses can stretch. It's sold as tested surplus.

See the manufacturer's data sheet for KRP-C-2500SP specifications.

What is "surplus new"?

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.

What does "reconditioned" mean?

Reconditioned items have been inspected, cleaned, and tested to confirm they operate to the manufacturer's original specifications. Every reconditioned item we sell carries a one-year operational guarantee.
