Where it's used: 1600A switchboard mains, fused bolted-pressure switches and large feeders on 480V and 600V systems.Why Low-Peak: the time-delay element rides through inrush, the current-limiting design cuts peak let-through current, and Low-Peak fuses coordinate selectively with one another at a 2:1 ampere ratio.DC capability: the KRP-C-1600SP also carries a 300 VDC rating with 100 kA interrupting capacity, useful in UPS and DC bus applications.Compatibility: Class L fuses of the same ampere rating share standardized dimensions, so this fits any 1600A Class L mounting. A change from fast-acting to time-delay (or back) should still be checked against the coordination study.Condition: Tested surplus.
