Need to replace a single blown fuse in an older switchboard? The KRP-C-1350 is a discontinued Bussmann Hi-Cap time-delay Class L fuse rated 1350 amps at 600 volts. It falls between the more common 1200A and 1600A sizes, so it appears where an engineer sized the main or feeder fuse to a particular transformer or conductor ampacity. That makes substitution harder, because moving up or down a size changes the protection the original design intended. Bussmann's current equivalent is the Low-Peak KRP-C-1350SP, which has a higher interrupting rating and different let-through characteristics. A direct Hi-Cap replacement keeps the existing coordination study valid.
