More Details

Ferraz Shawmut's RFS series, now under the Mersen name, is a line of fast-acting renewable Class H fuses for 600-volt circuits. The RFS250 is rated 250 amps and fits 400A-size knife-blade clips. Unlike Bussmann's Super-Lag RES fuses, the RFS has no intentional time delay, so it's better suited to non-motor loads such as heating, lighting and general feeders than to motor branch circuits. After it interrupts, the renewable cartridge can be opened and fitted with a new link, which kept operating costs low when these fuses were widely installed. The 10 kA interrupting rating means it belongs only where available fault current is modest, and Class H fuses won't enter Class R rejection clips.

What is "surplus new"?

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.

What does "reconditioned" mean?

Reconditioned items have been inspected, cleaned, and tested to confirm they operate to the manufacturer's original specifications. Every reconditioned item we sell carries a one-year operational guarantee.

How fast will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed before 12pm PST usually ship the same business day via UPS, with tracking provided.
