More Details

The A60X is Mersen's 600-volt Form 101 high-speed fuse series, a common specification in AC drives, soft starters and rectifier sections operating on 480V and 575V supplies. At 100 amps, the A60X100-4 protects smaller drives and individual rectifier legs. Its job is to open within a fraction of a cycle so the thyristors or diodes downstream aren't destroyed during a fault. The -4 suffix identifies the bolted-blade version, 4.41 inches long, which bolts into the drive's fuse mounting. Because a semiconductor fuse's clearing characteristics are coordinated with the devices it protects, drive manuals list an exact part number, and matching it preserves that coordination.
