This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.

Check the interrupting rating against the available fault current. The ITE FJ family is documented at 14 kA at 480 volts, which is modest for a 600-volt frame and well below the FXD and HF frames ESP also stocks at similar ampere ratings. On a high fault-current service this frame may not be adequate even though the ampere rating fits.

ITE breakers have been out of production for decades and Siemens has no drop-in successor. ESP stocks tested reconditioned ITE units for legacy commercial and industrial gear, backed by a one-year operational guarantee.

The FJ is one of the lower-interrupting frames in the ITE 600-volt range, and that is the number to check before anything else. Fourteen kiloamperes at 480 volts is fine on a modest service and inadequate on a stiff one, regardless of whether 125 amperes is the right rating. Where it does fit, the adjustable magnetic element is useful: set high enough to survive motor inrush and low enough to still catch a bolted fault. Siemens absorbed the ITE line and nothing currently built fits an FJ opening. Reconditioned, tested, one-year operational guarantee.
