This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.

Fusematic is a current-limiting design. The XM frame achieves its 100 kA interrupting rating through integral limiters working with the breaker mechanism, not through the mechanism alone. If limiters have operated they must be replaced for the breaker to hold its published rating. Confirm limiter condition before applying this unit anywhere the 100 kA figure is carrying a coordination study.

Federal Pacific and American Circuit Breaker XM-frame devices are no longer manufactured and have no modern drop-in equivalent. ESP stocks tested reconditioned units for FPE and American switchboards still in service.

A 100 kA interrupting rating at 600 volts is not something a conventional molded case breaker of this size achieves, and the Fusematic design is how Federal Pacific got there. Integral current limiters work with the breaker mechanism to clear high fault currents that would otherwise exceed the frame. That matters where available fault current is high and the alternative is switchgear. It also means limiter condition is part of the specification rather than an accessory question. There is no current-production equivalent. FPE and American switchboards carrying XM breakers are maintained with reconditioned originals or replaced outright. Tested, reconditioned, one-year operational guarantee.

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.
