Mark 75 is the high-interrupting rating and it is what separates this from a plain FB3070. At 70 amperes the ampere rating is modest and the fault rating is not, which is exactly the combination Mark 75 was built for. The standard FB at the same rating clears considerably less and looks identical once installed, so verify the catalog number rather than the amperage. The Eaton Series C HFD is the electrically interchangeable modern part.

The Westinghouse Mark 75 F frame is obsolete with no drop-in equivalent in the original form factor.

More Details

Seventy amperes with a Mark 75 fault rating behind it is a deliberate pairing, not an oversized one. Westinghouse built the Hi-Break line for services where available fault current had outgrown the standard frames, and a small branch device on a stiff bus is precisely that case. Eaton's Series C HFD3070 is electrically interchangeable if are moving to current product. Where the panelboard stays, a tested original goes straight back in. Reconditioned, tested, one-year operational guarantee.

What is "surplus new"?

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.

What does "reconditioned" mean?

Reconditioned items have been inspected, cleaned, and tested to confirm they operate to the manufacturer's original specifications. Every reconditioned item we sell carries a one-year operational guarantee.
