About the EH family. Type EH, EHB, EHC and EHD are all F-frame molded case breakers sharing one interrupting class — 18 kAIC at 240 V, 14 kAIC at 480 V, 10 kAIC at 250 V DC. The sub-line letter denotes the panelboard series the breaker was built for rather than a different rating, so check the panel before substituting one for another.

More Details

Protection is thermal-magnetic with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic elements: the bimetal answers sustained overload, the magnetic element clears short circuits within the first half cycle. An overcurrent on any pole opens all 3 together. At 20 amps the usual application is three-phase motor starters, control panels and small packaged equipment. Type EH, EHB, EHC and EHD all share the same interrupting class — the letter identifies the panelboard series rather than a different rating, so the panel decides which one fits. Bolt-on, tested and guaranteed for a year from the date of sale rather than for a nominal inspection period. Freight on molded-case devices is weight-driven and quoted against the whole order.

What is "surplus new"?

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.

What does "reconditioned" mean?

Reconditioned items have been inspected, cleaned, and tested to confirm they operate to the manufacturer's original specifications. Every reconditioned item we sell carries a one-year operational guarantee.

How fast will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed before 12pm PST usually ship the same business day via UPS, with tracking provided.
