The RFS150 belongs to the same Ferraz Shawmut renewable family as the RFS250, sized for the 101–200A knife-blade clip on 600-volt switches. Because it's fast-acting with no designed time delay, it's best suited to feeders serving heating, lighting and general non-motor loads. On motor circuits, a Super-Lag or dual-element fuse avoids nuisance opening during starts. The renewable body can be refilled with a new link after interruption, which is why these fuses stayed popular in plants that bought links in bulk. Before reinstalling one, confirm the available fault current is within the 10 kA Class H rating and that the switch has non-rejection clips.
