Note the shunt trip. The ST suffix denotes a factory-installed shunt trip for remote opening from a control contact. It cannot be added to a plain CH345 in the field. Confirm the coil voltage from the unit before ordering.

Forty-five amps is an uncommon step in the Type CH three-pole range even without an accessory on it, and the shunt trip narrows the field to almost nothing. The coil opens the breaker on a remote signal, which is how emergency stops, suppression interlocks and recall schemes take a three-phase circuit down without anyone at the panel. Because Eaton installs the coil at the factory, a failed unit cannot be repaired with a bolt-on accessory — the replacement has to carry the same suffix. A single unit is on hand, tested for trip function on all three poles and for shunt coil operation. Confirm the coil voltage against the control circuit before ordering.
