This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.

Three tiers and two mountings on one frame. FC and FCL are the current-limiting tier. On interrupting capacity the order is FA/FAL at 18 kA, FH/FHL at 25 kA and FC/FCL at 65 kA, all at 480 volts, all in the same case at the same ampere rating. The catalog number is the specification; the amperage tells nothing about which one are holding.

The Square D F-frame is legacy product, crossed to the PowerPacT H and HG frames in current catalogs, which require a panel change rather than a swap. ESP stocks tested reconditioned F-frame units across all three interrupting tiers and both mountings.

Fifteen amperes and sixty-five kiloamperes is an odd-looking pair of numbers, and it is the whole point of a current-limiting breaker. The device begins interrupting before the fault reaches peak, which lets a small frame sit on a service where available fault current would otherwise demand something much larger. The FH at this rating clears 25 kA and the FA clears 18. If either covers the application, they cost considerably less.
