The TH prefix is the Hi-Break rating. THFK236150 and TFK236150 carry the same 150-ampere rating in the same F-frame case and clear very different fault currents. They are physically interchangeable, so where a coordination study calls for the higher figure the catalog number has to be verified rather than the amperage. ESP reads the nameplate and confirms the interrupting rating on request.

GE F-frame breakers are legacy product; the retrofit path is the Tmax XT series, which does not mount in an F-frame opening. ESP stocks tested reconditioned F-frame units for GE panelboards and switchboards still in service.

More Details

Two letters carry the value here. GE built the F-frame in a standard and a Hi-Break version at every rating, and TH is the high one. Same case, same 150-ampere label, different fault performance, and no way to tell once the panel cover is on. That makes the catalog number the specification. A panel designed around a Hi-Break device is not satisfied by the cheaper part that looks identical. GE's retrofit path is the Tmax XT series, which needs new gear rather than a swap. Reconditioned, tested, one-year operational guarantee.

What is "surplus new"?

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.

What does "reconditioned" mean?

Reconditioned items have been inspected, cleaned, and tested to confirm they operate to the manufacturer's original specifications. Every reconditioned item we sell carries a one-year operational guarantee.
