This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.

Westinghouse shipped the LB frame as three parts — frame, trip unit and terminals — and the trip unit is interchangeable. The catalog number states the trip rating, but on a surplus unit the element can have been swapped. Read the trip unit on receipt. The frame-only catalog number in this family is LB3400F.

The Westinghouse LB frame is obsolete. Eaton's JD3 series replaces it and requires a retrofit rather than a swap. ESP stocks tested reconditioned LB-frame units for legacy Westinghouse panelboards and switchboards still in service.

At 125 amperes this sits near the bottom of a 400-amp frame, so it inherits withstand well beyond what the load requires. That is the configuration a conservative designer specified and the one that turns up in switchboards feeding light branch circuits off a heavy bus. AB De-ion arc quenching is the reason these still test clean decades on. The element and the case have separate histories on a surplus unit, so read the trip unit. Eaton's JD3125 replaces it and requires a retrofit kit. Reconditioned, one-year guarantee.
