KB is the standard-interrupting frame; HKB is the high-interrupting one. The two are physically similar and the letter is the only thing that distinguishes them once installed. Where a coordination study calls for the higher figure, verify the catalog number rather than the amperage. Terminals were an ordering option on this generation — contact ESP to confirm whether lugs are fitted.

The Westinghouse AB De-ion frames are obsolete with no modern drop-in equivalent. ESP stocks tested reconditioned units for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer panelboards, switchboards and motor control centers still in service.

One hundred amperes in a K frame is a conservative pairing, and it turns up in switchboards where the designer wanted headroom rather than a tightly matched device. The letter at the front matters more than the number. KB is standard interrupting; HKB is the Mark 75 high-interrupting version at the same ratings. A panel engineered around one is not satisfied by the other. Terminals were a separate line on the original order, so lugs should be confirmed before the breaker arrives.
