Please note the ratings: KD3400F is a 400-ampere frame. This unit is supplied with a KT3300T trip unit installed, giving a continuous rating of 300 amperes. The K-frame accepts interchangeable KT-series trip units, so the same frame can be re-rated in the field — a 400A trip (KT3400T) is available on request. Lugs are not included; a TA400K lug kit is required for termination.

The Eaton / Cutler-Hammer KD3400F is a three-pole Series C K-frame molded case circuit breaker frame rated 400 amperes maximum at 600V AC and 250V DC, supplied here with a KT3300T trip unit installed for a 300-ampere continuous rating. Interrupting capacity is 65 kA at 240V, 35 kA at 480V, 25 kA at 600V, and 10 kA at 250V DC; under IEC 157-1, 65 kA at 240V and 40 kA at 415V with an 8 kV impulse rating.

Protection is thermal-magnetic with long-time and instantaneous (LI) functions — fixed thermal, with adjustable instantaneous magnetic settable from 5 to 10 times the trip rating across three per-pole dials for coordination with downstream devices. The trip unit is interchangeable and field-installable, so the frame can be re-rated later rather than replaced; a 400A KT3400T trip is available on request.

The breaker is HACR rated, calibrated at 40°C, suitable for reverse feed, and rated for single-phase AC circuits. For DC applications, use the two outside poles. Bolt-on mounting for Eaton Series C, Pow-R-Line 3a, and Pow-R-Line 4 panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. Made in U.S.A.

Lugs are not included. A TA400K lug kit is required for termination and is available separately. Reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and backed by a one-year operational guarantee.
