HFB3150 clears 75,000 A asymmetrical at 480 volts where the standard FB3150 at the same 150-ampere rating clears considerably less. The two look alike and mount the same way, so where a short-circuit study calls for the higher figure the catalog number has to be verified rather than the amperage. The Eaton Series C HFD3150 is the electrically interchangeable modern part.

The Westinghouse AB De-ion frames are obsolete with no modern drop-in equivalent. ESP stocks tested reconditioned units for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer panelboards, switchboards and motor control centers still in service.

Mark 75 was Westinghouse's answer to rising fault currents, and the H at the front of this catalog number is the whole difference. Same 150-ampere rating as a standard FB, same F-frame footprint, 75,000 amperes asymmetrical of interrupting capacity at 480 volts. That is not a specification substitute around. A service where available fault current exceeds the standard frame's rating needs the Hi-Break part, and the two are indistinguishable once the cover is on. Eaton's Series C HFD3150 is electrically interchangeable if are moving to current product; where the panelboard stays, a tested original goes straight back in. Reconditioned, one-year operational guarantee.
