About the EH family. Type EH, EHB, EHC and EHD are all F-frame molded case breakers sharing one interrupting class — 18 kAIC at 240 V, 14 kAIC at 480 V, 10 kAIC at 250 V DC. The sub-line letter denotes the panelboard series the breaker was built for rather than a different rating, so check the panel before substituting one for another.

More Details

Sourcing is the story with the EH family. Panels built around it are still in service across industrial and institutional buildings, but a failed 70-amp 1-pole breaker is now a surplus purchase or a panel replacement, and the second costs orders of magnitude more and takes an outage. Typical service here is single-pole equipment feeds at 277 volts. Inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards and carrying ESP's one-year operational guarantee from the date of sale. Freight on molded-case devices is weight-driven and quoted against the whole order.

What is "surplus new"?

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.

What does "reconditioned" mean?

Reconditioned items have been inspected, cleaned, and tested to confirm they operate to the manufacturer's original specifications. Every reconditioned item we sell carries a one-year operational guarantee.

How fast will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed before 12pm PST usually ship the same business day via UPS, with tracking provided.
