More Details

The Fusetron FRS-R is the most familiar 600-volt dual-element fuse in North American plants, and the 600-amp size is the largest in the series. It's used on motor feeders, MCC mains and large motor branch circuits, where the time-delay element carries starting current and the short-circuit element opens quickly on faults. As a Class RK5 fuse it fits Class R rejection clips and older H and K clips, so it's a common drop-in replacement for one-time fuses in older 600A switches. It carries a 200 kA AC interrupting rating and is also rated 300 VDC.
