The JKS is Bussmann's Limitron fast-acting Class J fuse, the compact, high-performance choice for feeders and equipment where space is tight and let-through energy needs to stay low. At 400 amps, the JKS-400 is used in Class J fused disconnects, industrial control panels and OEM switchgear. It has no intentional time delay, so it suits non-motor loads, transformer primaries and circuits protecting sensitive components better than motor branch circuits, where a time-delay Class J such as the LPJ is typical. Class J dimensions are unique, so lower-rated fuse classes can't be substituted into the holder. The interrupting rating is 200 kA at 600 volts AC. Every fuse we ship is inspected and tested first.
