More Details

The RES-40 fits the 60A-size ferrule clip on 600-volt safety switches and combination starters, where it protects motor branch circuits of roughly 15 to 30 horsepower. Its Super-Lag element gives more time delay than a one-time Class H fuse, so it carries motor starting current without being oversized. After it opens, the ferrule cartridge can be renewed with a replacement link instead of discarded. Bussmann no longer makes RES fuses, so surplus stock is the practical way to keep an existing renewable installation consistent. The Class H interrupting rating is 10 kA, and the fuse won't fit Class R rejection clips. Every fuse we ship is inspected and tested first.
