Two numbers matter when this breaker is specified: the 60 amp rating, which is set by the conductor and the load, and the ten thousand ampere interrupting rating, which is set by the available fault current at the panel. Where a fault study puts that figure higher, the VH version of this catalog number is the part to look at instead. Normal service at this rating is subpanel feeders and large condensing units. Plug-in to QO load centers, reconditioned and tested.Fault current is the variable most often skipped when a panel is repopulated piecemeal, because nothing on the breaker handle records it. If the original schedule is gone, the interrupting rating is worth re-establishing before ordering rather than after.
