Fitment governs the choice here: the device seats in Square D Homeline load centers and nowhere else, so the catalog number rather than the ampere rating is what has to match. ESP holds tested stock in its Spokane warehouse and can confirm condition and fitment before an order is placed rather than after it arrives. Available fault current at the board has to sit below the device rating, and substituting a lower-rated part into a position engineered for a higher one quietly defeats the original design.
