This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.
Original manufacture, individually tested. This is an original Federal Pacific Stab-Lok breaker — the part the panel was built around — inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, individually tested to confirm it trips before it ships, and backed by a one-year operational guarantee. The widely sold alternative is the Connecticut Electric UBIF series, newly manufactured by a third party and ETL listed to UL 489 at 10,000 AIC as a compatible replacement rather than an original part. Both have a case.
Two things decide whether this fits. Body width first: type NA is the thick series and type NC is the thin, and a Stab-Lok load center takes them in different positions. Then the numbering — Federal Pacific used two forms on this line. A two-digit number like NC30 is single-pole; a three-digit number like NC230 is two-pole thirty-ampere. This is the thin series, 2-pole.
Federal Pacific Stab-Lok breakers are out of production.Type NC is the THIN series. Connecticut Electric distinguishes the two the same way in its UBIF replacement line. ESP stocks tested original units for Stab-Lok panels still in service.
