The Square D JGL36175AASA is a three-pole PowerPacT J-frame molded case circuit breaker with a 175-ampere trip rating on the JG 250 frame, rated 600V AC and 80% rated at 40°C.

Protection is thermal-magnetic with long-time and instantaneous (LI) functions. The thermal element is fixed and the instantaneous magnetic trip is adjustable from 875 to 1750 amperes via the front-mounted dial, allowing the pickup to be coordinated with downstream devices rather than left at a factory setting.

The unit is supplied with AL175JD lugs installed, accepting #4 through 4/0 AWG aluminum or copper conductors at 225 lb-in. It also carries factory-installed internal accessories; the case is marked "accessory wiring required," indicating the accessory leads must be terminated when the breaker is installed. The AASA suffix denotes this accessory configuration — the base JGL36175 is the same breaker without it.
