Three tiers and two mountings on one frame. FH is I-Line and lands on bus stabs; FHL is unit mount with lugs at both ends. On interrupting capacity the order is FA/FAL at 18 kA, FH/FHL at 25 kA and FC/FCL at 65 kA, all at 480 volts, all in the same case at the same ampere rating. The catalog number is the specification; the amperage tells nothing about which one are holding.

The Square D F-frame is legacy product, crossed to the PowerPacT H and HG frames in current catalogs, which require a panel change rather than a swap. ESP stocks tested reconditioned F-frame units across all three interrupting tiers and both mountings.

The F frame carries three interrupting tiers in one case. FA clears 18 kiloamperes at 480 volts, FH clears 25 and FC is current-limiting at 65. They mount identically at the same ampere rating, and only the letters distinguish them once the panel cover is on. That makes the catalog number the specification. A coordination study that called for 25 kA is not satisfied by an FA, whatever the amperage says. Reconditioned, tested, one-year operational guarantee.
