Two things this catalog number encodes that the amperage does not. The 2 is the pole count, so this is a two-pole device and the three-pole version is JL3F400. And the F is the frame designator, so 400 amperes is the frame rating rather than the trip rating — the fitted element decides what the breaker actually opens on. The complete breaker sold by trip rating is JL2B, as in JL2B275. This unit is sold as a frame; contact ESP for a trip unit.
