This device provides no overload protection. The A in an ED catalog number is the ETI motor-circuit-protector designation: magnetic trip only, with an adjustable instantaneous pickup and no thermal element. It is built for Siemens motor control centers and requires separate thermal overload protection from the starter. The B series on the same frame is the thermal-magnetic breaker. One letter, two very different devices.

Siemens continues the Sentron ED frame in current production and publishes 3VA cross-references, but legacy ITE-branded units remain the exact fit for older panelboards. ESP stocks tested reconditioned ED-frame breakers and ETI motor circuit protectors across the range.

Forty amperes of motor with a one hundred fifteen to three hundred seventy-five ampere magnetic band - the largest ETI unit ESP stocks in this range. Magnetic only, for Siemens motor control centers, with thermal overload provided by the starter. Eighteen kiloamperes at 600 volts, twenty-five at 480.
