This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.

This device provides no overload protection. A Mag-Break motor circuit protector supplies instantaneous short-circuit protection only and is designed to be used with a NEMA motor starter, which provides the thermal overload function. It is not a branch-circuit breaker and must not be substituted for one. The 30-ampere figure is the motor rating; the magnetic pickup is adjustable across 90–390 A adjustable and is what actually opens the circuit. Set it above the motor's starting inrush - that is the whole point of the device, since a thermal-magnetic breaker at this rating would nuisance-trip on startup.

GE discontinued the Mag-Break TEC line.

Thirty amperes of motor with a ninety to three hundred ninety ampere adjustable magnetic band. That spread is the design: a motor draws several times its running current on starting, so the trip point has to sit well above the nameplate figure and still catch a bolted fault. Feed-thru with line and load lugs, suitable for reverse-fed applications, ten kiloamperes at 480 volts. Overload is the starter's job. This device has no thermal element.
