This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.

This device provides no overload protection. A Mag-Break motor circuit protector supplies instantaneous short-circuit protection only and is designed to be used with a NEMA motor starter, which provides the thermal overload function. It is not a branch-circuit breaker and must not be substituted for one. The 7-ampere figure is the motor rating; the magnetic pickup is adjustable between the LO and HI settings marked on the unit and is what actually opens the circuit. Set it above the motor's starting inrush - that is the whole point of the device, since a thermal-magnetic breaker at this rating would nuisance-trip on startup.

GE discontinued the Mag-Break TEC line.

More Details

Seven amperes of motor on the GE E150 frame. Magnetic protection only - the NEMA starter downstream provides the thermal overload function. The magnetic pickup is adjustable between a low and a high setting position, which is how a small motor gets short-circuit protection without nuisance-tripping on startup.

What is "surplus new"?

Surplus new means the item has never been installed or put into service. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it has never been used.

What does "reconditioned" mean?

Reconditioned items have been inspected, cleaned, and tested to confirm they operate to the manufacturer's original specifications. Every reconditioned item we sell carries a one-year operational guarantee.
