This unit is sold reconditioned, inspected and tested to ESP Product Standards, and guaranteed to operate normally for one year from the date of sale.

Two things to settle before ordering. The LA trip unit is interchangeable, so the 300-ampere rating comes from the element rather than the 600-ampere frame. And terminals were an ordering option rather than standard equipment — contact ESP to confirm whether lugs are fitted. The frame-only catalog numbers in this family are LA3400F and LA3600F.

The Westinghouse LA frame is obsolete with no modern drop-in equivalent. ESP stocks tested reconditioned LA-frame units, frames and trip units for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer gear still in service.

Thirty-five kiloamperes at 480 volts is the number that matters here, and it is higher than the LB frame ESP also stocks at the same ratings. Where available fault current rules out an LB, an LA is often the answer that keeps an existing panelboard in service. Frame and rating are separate on this design. The case handles 600 amperes, the element is set at 300, and the element is what you read when matching a replacement. Terminals were ordered separately on this generation, so lugs should be confirmed before it arrives. Reconditioned, tested, one-year operational guarantee.
