Watch the suffix on this family. JB3100W is a circuit breaker supplied with lugs. JB3100NW, with an N, is a non-automatic switch on the same frame — no trip, no overcurrent protection. Two characters apart and not interchangeable in function. The high-interrupting breaker version is HJB.

The Westinghouse AB De-ion frames are obsolete with no modern drop-in equivalent. ESP stocks tested reconditioned units for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer panelboards, switchboards and motor control centers still in service.

Westinghouse used one J-frame case for several very different devices, and the suffix is what tells them apart. A W is a breaker with lugs. An NW is a non-automatic switch that will not trip on anything. That is worth knowing before ordering by amperage alone, because a 100-amp JB and a 100-amp JB non-automatic look identical in a bin and behave nothing alike in a panel. The trip element is interchangeable, so read it rather than the case. Obsolete with no drop-in successor. Reconditioned, tested, one-year operational guarantee.
