Note the shunt trip. The ST1 suffix denotes a factory-installed shunt trip, which opens the breaker on a signal from a remote contact — emergency power-off, fire alarm interlock, elevator recall, remote shutdown. The coil is fitted at the factory and cannot be added in the field. Confirm the coil voltage from the unit before ordering. The previous record also described the mounting as "Stab-In", which is Federal Pacific terminology rather than GE, and carried a shipping weight of 20 lb that no Q-Line three-pole device approaches.

More Details

Type THQL is the plug-on half of the GE Q-Line family, and the distinction is the whole reason both exist. The plug-on stab is what makes Q-Line quick to work with, and the one-inch module is why a Q-Line panel fits more circuits in the same box than most competitors. At 100 amps and 3 poles the usual application is three-phase subfeeds and panelboard mains. A single unit in stock, bench-tested and guaranteed for a year. Photographs of the actual unit are available on request if the handle markings or the terminal configuration need checking before the order goes in.
