Anything that changes those — a different pole count, a mounting style the panel will not take, a conductor outside the terminal range — makes the part wrong however closely the catalog number matches. The rating suits three-phase branch and equipment circuits. Each unit is tested before shipment and covered by the one-year guarantee. Where the existing panel schedule is unreliable, the breaker face is the better record.
